The days of getting amazing deals from a fixed mile redemption are long gone... Miles rewards are now closely tied to fare price. Anything in the 1.2% range is good. Even better is seeing a new place or visiting a friend or family that you wouldn't otherwise see because you don't have it in your cash budget.
