The Issue
I recently purchased First Class tickets for a British Airways flight, only to be informed shortly before departure that, due to technical issues with the aircraft, First Class would no longer be available. As a result, my travel party and I were downgraded to Business Class. While I understand that technical problems can arise, the airline’s handling of the subsequent refund process has been nothing short of a nightmare.
Broken Promises of a Refund
British Airways promised to refund the difference between the First Class and Business Class fares, which is standard practice in such situations. However, despite repeated assurances from their customer service team, over a month has passed, and we have yet to see any refund.
I’ve contacted their customer service multiple times, but each interaction has been met with vague promises, deflections, or outright inaction. To make matters worse, British Airways does not provide an email address for submitting formal complaints,
