I have been unsuccessful in requesting ORC from BA despite trying different venues: calling the rep, submitting through the missing TP/Avios portal, and direct email. All three routes led to a dead end.
Here is my situation: AA-booked ticket flying on AA metal and credited mileage to BAEC. My original itinerary was MCO-MIA-CLT-LAX but was rerouted by AA to MCO-LAX direct due to a delay in the first flight. I was awarded 140 TP instead of 220TP.
I submitted the AA receipt with all the necessary info (Tix number, routing info, BAEC#, etc), a copy of the email showing rerouting notice by AA, and my MCO-LAX boarding pass.
Here is the reply from BA: "If we re-route you from British Airways flights onto another carrier, we're happy to credit your account for your original flights....I’m sorry to say American Airlines does not award Avios for your original flights, so we are only able to credit your account for the flights you flew."
Does anyone has any suggestions how to deal with this situation?
