Typical. Having slogged my way up to Gold I was looking forward to my first visit to the LGW First Lounge next month... only to find that the Club Lounge has had a genuine enhancement! I may have to arrive even earlier for my February trip to Malaga.

On a more serious note, I have always liked this Lounge compared with it's Heathrow equivalents. I know people often moan about Euroflyer but at least the ground experience at Gatwick is on point with efficient premium check in, fast track, and baggage reclaim on the return trip.

I'm guessing the cocktails are pre-mixed and from cans? It still doesn't match the Cathay T3 Business Lounge but it does IMO make it a superior offering to the T5 Galleries Lounges. It's almost enough to keep tempting me to book cash CE flights again from April 26... or purchasing lounge access if they do unbundle the fares.

I wonder if BA's Gatwick operation has more autonomy than LHR's over service improvements like this? Right now it feels like hell freezing over is more likely than the Galleries South Lounge getting a bar like this, or God forbid even the showers and toilets being refurbished. Mind you knowing BA I can see them withdrawing the champagne from this bar after they suddenly realise too many customers are drinking the champagne over the prosecco. Got to keep those costs down after all!
