I am Elite Plus on TK and I used to use EF to search for upgrade space availability before purchasing the ticket in order to use my annual voucher upgrade rights. With TK gone from EF, I'm not sure what to do anymore. I tried making a reservation, holding it for 48 hours, and asking TK customer service whether those flights are available for upgrades, but they told me that they cannot even query upgrade availability *UNTIL* I purchase the ticket (I spoke to them in Turkish -- no language barrier there). Since TK does not give you the same 24-hour refund rights like most US airlines, buying the ticket and hoping that upgrade space is available is a huge risk. The itinerary I'm interested involves almost 40 hours of flights, and I'm not willing to fly all that way in economy. I could have at an earlier age, but not anymore.
