Radisson has split. In the US we who are "elite" in the Radisson Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa--so VIP, etc. are not affiliated with Radisson Americas, which is now part of Choice Hotels. In fact, there was a time a few years back when elite members had to choose between programs. I may be off on this as I am only VIP with the EU, et al. side. Choice is not filled with a plethora of hotels I regularly frequent. Some are nice enough though, and some Radisson Blus are nice. Apparently Choice is supposed to improve Radisson Americas. The only ones I know are not fantastic. Admittedly, I know few here on this side of the Pond.
I
found this piece on the acquisition for more info. Choice acquired Radisson Americas and Jin Jiang International, a Chinese state-owned, company, owns a majority of the rest of Radisson.
So long answer to say, no, you can't. I hate it, but I find my status better when I am in the UK and EU, so I keep it there as I have several status programs here. You may be able to pull off a status match with a hotel group that has hotels on both continents and leverage your status that way, however.
