I have a stop of just over eight hours - did the paid transit scheme for $100 - and got confirmation of the airport garden hotel within 24 hrs (could have cancelled at no cost if it was a landside hotel- and cheaper than paying for the pods).


The sleeping rooms in the Al Mourjan Garden lounge are separate rooms but they don’t have lie flat beds - I personally couldn’t sleep there when I tried as I found it uncomfortable (although it was nice to have a separate space).
