From recent flights

CDG-HKG (AF188, 23:25 departure)

Preordered the beef chuck, which was frankly quite disappointing. Beef felt like a smaller portion compared to previous flights out of CDG, the rest of the meal was cooked to death (while the beef was fine actually) and also just a small portion with half of the plate just being partially split sauce. Other courses were good though.

Breakfast was breakfast, made the mistake again of choosing a croissaint to go with it. Those have only disappointed so far, need to choose wiser .

SIN-CDG (AF181, 10:50 departure, daytime)

Theme of this flight was chicken . Preordered the chicken thigh, although on board was asked if I made my choice. But no complaints, since I still got the chicken I wanted. All courses were very enjoyable, main was cooked well. For the second meal service I went with the chicken once more, which was once again cooked quite well. Not a fan at all of the boiled fruits though.

[still about sin-cdg] One thing that struck me as odd is the timing of the meal services on this almost 14hr flight, with lunch being served directly after take off and the second service only starting around 2hr before departure. Even with the lunch service taking longer since they served each course individually, that leaves you for about ~9hrs without any food (or service for that matter since the crew just did the typical stay hidden in galley non stop directly after last plates were cleared). While they do have the 'gourmet snacks', it still feels a bit insufficient for such a long daytime flight.
