I just booked a BAH dub-us-bcn type itinerary over the weekend for August at the price I normally pay for this itinerary (with a one night hotel so I can just pay the 300 EUR deposit). It ticketed just fine. I like BA’s policy re: alternative airport radius in case of schedule change/cancellation more than AA so I usually try to get it ticketed there. But if you’re not partial, you can usually ticket it on AA.
Sometimes when I don’t see the price/itinerary that I like on BAH, I wait a few days and recheck and the itinerary that wasn’t available before could be available again. This usually involves some AA-operated segments though.
