I know recently there was a discussion about upgrades from Y to J - there's the online upgrade >14 days from departure, upgrade offer via email, upgrade at airport, upgrade with Avios (and probably some other ways to upgrade which I've not listed here).
What I'd like to clarify with others here is, if we're using the online upgrade >14 days from departure (with the 'Upgrade' button on Manage Booking page and only with cash), that will show the T&C here (

- Passengers accepting the upgrade offer will be entitled to lounge access based on the upgraded cabin / booking class.
- Avios / Qpoints earned or accrued on Qatar Airways Privilege Club program will be based on the upgraded cabin / booking class.
I assume this means repricing the fare from Y to J. How do I know whether I will get lounge access considering there's a 'P' fare bucket in business class, or is that fare bucket / business lite not being offered for an upgrade?
