FWIW I do have transferrable currency across all major US banks so would be open to exploring any 1-stop NYC-CHC or <30 hour 2-stop journeys. 1000's of people, including ex pat's, want to travel to be in NZ/AU for 25 Dec and/or 1 Jan.
Wth 25 Dec being a Thursday, ailines will be expecting to sell every (Y) seat from Sat 20 Dec. But less travel paid for by employers, in business class seats.
Airlines that fly USA/Canada to/from New Zealand (not from all airports to all airports). May not be up to date (have not done a check for months)
