What are are my pathways to upgrade on ANZ assuming I book coach? Do they offer any cash upgrades near to departure or day of departure? Or is there a bidding program?

Thanks in advance!
Only upgrade options are:

1. As above - A OneUp upgrade is a bidding system, but only by one cabin - so coach/economy to premium economy, or premium economy to business.
(see FAQ extract below on OneUp bidding)

2. Be gifted an upgrade by another AirNZ Elite member (likely not relevant for you)

From OneUp FAQs

What does a one cabin class upgrade mean?

It means you can upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy or from Premium Economy to Business Premier. If you are in Economy you can also submit an offer to experience Economy Skycouch if you do not wish to upgrade cabin class.

If your offer is accepted prior to check in and you have received a OneUp upgrade, you will receive the benefits applicable to the OneUp upgraded service class of travel specified on your upgraded ticket.

If your offer is accepted after you have checked into your flight or at the airport, you will receive all on board benefits applicable to the OneUp upgraded service class of travel
