That works, but do you know when does UA release award seats and what is the best way to book it? Do you know if they 100% release seats during that time given it's winter here and peak NZ summer? 100k each way is fine by me and I am okay with just booking SFO-CHC with points and EWR-SFO separately

I currently only see availability for 200k through UA

No status with UA but I am SQ Gold. I believe SQ doesn't have much UA availability though?
