So, yes, JAL will use the incoming HND frame to fly to NRT and the incoming NRT frame to fly to HND to avoid having to park two airplanes in Chicago for between 16 hours 25 minutes and 20 hours 30 minutes.
I missed the first part of your post which stated: Due to the new ORD schedule, the plane arriving from HND will depart for NRT and vice versa.
