The location is breathtaking, perched on the edge of the canyon with stunning views. The architecture and room design are exquisite, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings and offering a true sense of place. Dining options, in particular, Bella Vista, was outstanding. But what truly set Anantara apart was the staff—warm, courteous, and genuinely welcoming, they made us feel like family. Our daughter liked the kids club staff so much that she never wanted to leave. This was our second Anantara experience after Qasr al Sarab in the desert a few years ago, and we’ve become huge fans of the brand. We can’t wait to return!
Next, we spent 3 nights at the Mandarin Oriental Muscat. The hard product is undoubtedly the best in Muscat, if not all of Oman. The resort is stunning with subtle Omani design elements, and the location in Al Qurum is unbeatable. No expense was spared, and unlike Dubai, it’s not tacky. However, the service lacked the warmth and personal touch we experienced at Anantara. I shared this feedback with the front desk the night before checkout and was told the guest experience manager would meet me to discuss it further, but that never happened. Despite this, the MO has great potential, and I’d consider giving it another try in the future.
So what about the St. Regis? I'm a little lost here.
