fwiw I got stuck with the beef because my first choice wasn't available - and it was totally inedible. I know it's easy to mock steak on a plane (which is why it was not my first choice) but this really was dreadful, difficult even to cut. I complained on board but he could not have cared less so for once I sent in a short written complaint (no first choice, inedible food and no effort at any kind of recovery/alternative food). I didn't mention my suspicion that I had been deprioritized because I was on an avios booking.

I got USD 140 ecredit which was surprisingly generous.
