A (former) friend of mine was due to fly back from AGP to LHR a few years ago. The inbound flight had an aborted landing due to winds (which happens quite regularly at AGP) and diverted to SVQ. When it eventually landed in AGP, the LHR leg got canceled, i think due to crew hours, and passengers put up in a hotel overnight.

Whilst waiting for the transfer to the hotel, this individual spotted the BA captain in the taxi queue at AGP and went up to him and, after confirming he was, in fact, the captain of the inbound flight, started demanding answers and questioning him about 1. his decision to abort the first landing and 2. his decision to divert as opposed to making a second attempt! Knowing this guy, I probably got a very watered down version of events, but hearing it was quite unbelievable.
