Clearly, a company should keep all its pages up to date but that is not an excuse for failing to adopt good internet searching hygiene or our part either.

A google search is not the most reliable way to obtain up to date and accurate information. They can return outdated and obsolete information. You need to exercise a modicum of judgment with internet searches rather than believing blindly on what comes first as the gospel truth. If the result of my search turned up a certain result for the Russian or West Mongolian page of a global company but that result was not duplicated on my own local page nor pages of more mainstream version of the site, I would exercise caution and enquire further and, in the absence of confirmation on a more reliable source of info, I would assume that what I read is probably not reliable.
