So I have a flight later today that I wanted to change. Was up at midnight so went onto the previously working app to do so. Except this booking is one of the ones with the stupid new /nx style interface on the app. Selected to make the SDC, at the top of the screen it says "you are eligible for free change on the same day", selected the new flight time. Wasn't too worried that it was listing additional cost for each of the flights because "BA" but then eventually get dumped into a credit card details/pay the difference screen and can't proceed without pony-ing up £190. Luckily I can phone the GGL line and after a mere 40 MINUTES holding on the phone to India they say we have managed to change your flight. Takes another 20 mins for the new e-ticket to come through on email and the new BP to be available.
So something that I could do straightforwardly on their app a month ago is now no longer working and takes an hour of my time to sort. AT MIDNIGHT. As with absolutely every inconvenient thing that happens to me on BA from now on a complaint will be going in. What is the point of a £7bn investment including updated IT when you don't do even the most basic testing to see if your new system actually works? Right now they should roll it all back to about 2018, that seemed to do the trick before. I literally cannot think of a single thing on the app which is better since then.
BA, and their hopeless IT, is run by a bunch of complete morons.
