In fact, I only scratched the surface of what Trieste has to offer. There's a lot more to see in and around the city, for which I think it would be useful to have a car. As for the airport, it is a LONG way from the city. There is a train service which costs around 5 or 6 Euros AFAIR. But I arrived late at night, having booked a hotel near the airport. In the end there wasn't a single taxi to be had, so I walked 2.2km along an unlit main road (SS14) with a fair bit of traffic, considering it was midnight. So, I began my trip not in the best of moods.
Now we have to get back to the aviation theme which is the heart of Flyertalk. Next up is a review of my first flight with Air Dolomiti with an EN coded flight number and the new logo (I did a few LH coded flights in recent years, not surprising since Lufthansa own Air Dolomiti).
