I'm not sure that you understand what I wrote. No, Finnair does not fly NGO-TYO-SFO, but that's irrelevant. AA does not fly NGO-TYO-SFO either. But just as AA miles can be redeemed for travel on JL, so too can Finnair Plus Avios. You need to check with Finnair to see if they have award-seat availability on JL for the itinerary you want to book.
