I’ll be using my upgrades for sister and friend flying to JFK. If they don’t get the upgrades then they’ll be wasted.
As I’ve said before, it’s scandalous that they can’t tip you the nod and let you know if an upgrade is there before booking. They certainly did that for me twice pre Covid.
I won’t be trying for concierge again. There’s just no point. I don’t travel to the US much and as my travel is leisure based I rarely if ever need to change a flight. And any flight back from LHR they’ll change in the lounge if you’re running early.
Once I hit platinum it’s the cheapest saver fares for the rest of the membership year.
I got the ITA status match and after booking just a single flight with them they sent me a nice credit card style membership and a luggage tag with ITA on it.
And I’ve yet to fly with them.
EI don’t even recognise me on board the plane……
