You can't pull from two sets of qcredits on two accounts. At least not online. Time to call and see what you can get. And HUCA as often as needed.
There was only one upgrade available and they confirmed this after I called them.
They said in order to receive the Qcredit refund, I can downgrade back to Economy but I would have to cancel and rebook or make a change to that leg of the flight.
How often does Qatar open up additional award availability on their flights? I read that sometimes they send upgrade offers 2 weeks before departure? Would it be worth it to try and ask for an upgrade for my partner at check in?
