From what I read on the forum and AF website/FB webiste I was quite confident I could claim the additional luggage. I didn't read anywhere specifically that on a codeshare flight, luggage allowance doesn't apply. It seems as you mention that it came by experience. One have to get " screw" one time to learn the lesson. It doesn't make it right though. My intend is to raise awareness and at least it is written somewhere to whoever is in same situation wondering what to do. To be honest, at 120 usd per luggage, I'm better buying a ticket kul-sin on other airlines ( less expensive). From your testimony and the few from other, it seems that some of us went thru the same experience. I appreciate the sharing.
I understand your frustration, and many of us have discovered ("been screwed by ") some rules one time or another.
Unfortunately the lack of status perks on flights operated by non-alliance airlines (even if code-share) are pretty standard on all alliances.
Unless there is a specific exemption published for the two specific airlines involved in a codeshare. That requires a specific partnership agreement.

The case is different for miles credit (not a status perk), where the marketing carrier is what counts if you belong to their own FFP (but not to another alliance FFP).

While it is painful to discover the rule only in cases such as yours, that rule is quite general worldwide. I don't think that you could find an article in FB T&Cs that would state otherwise, i.e. that you can claim status perks on flights operated by non-ST members..
