I think you're trying to say yes if it originates in Canada and no if it originates in the US even if the final destination is Puerto Rico/Caribbean?
So a Canada to Caribbean via US itinerary (e.g. YYZ-JFK-SJU, at least if YYZ-JFK is DL operated) would grant an AFKL STE+ in any cabin (conceivably even Basic, though there's not really a way to force a recalcitrant dragon) SkyClub access. DL STE+ would have to be traveling in F.
Flying Blue would consider both legs to be international (so 30 XP one-way in F: not a bad XP run by North American standards).
Any dp regarding someone on BE having access? What if YYZ-JFK is WS-operated, but DL-marketed?
I'm really tempted to move over to AFKL just because I can access Sky Clubs on an international economy itinerary. Given how infrequent upgrades are these days, I figure lounge access will be more important to me. Does the 3 hour before departure access rule applies to AFKL STE+ elites?
