Child executive account and household account

Hi all,

I really hope someone can help. All these BA tier point changes are confusing me a bit.

I have a household account with my daughter (2 years) and my son (9 months) both of which have an exec number. We are booking a lot of holidays this year. I’ve just read that infants can’t receive tier points (understandably) but children can. However Avios points cannot be spent if the child is under 18.
Does this mean the points my 2 year old gets can’t be spent in the household account until she is 18 as I thought all points in the household account could be used.

Also with the new tier points it’s going to be a struggle for us to move status so wanted to try and remove my daughters exec number so the tier points are only split between me and my husband. Does anyone know how I can do this. Am I correct in saying that when making a flight or holiday booking, tier points are only split between those with an exec number rather than all passengers regardless if they have an exec number?

I hope this all makes sense!

many thanks

Regina
