I've only had the former but based on how good it was and based on reports of the latter, UA's domestic F catering seems to be improving and the hub signature main courses are mostly nice additions. (Edited to add: I see from the UA forum that the current LAX signature domestic F main course is a salmon dish that looks very good. Looks much better than anything I've seen on AA in the last 5 years)
The fact that UA F pricing often undercuts AA F pricing is attractive too. Odd how UA can sometimes price paid F cheaper than AA and make money while AA's financial performance is dismal in spite of often higher fares.
