I wonder if this will turn into a Joon situation with AF going down the road for quite a bit, and then in the end, it just fizzles out. I'd really not mind a BOB program if they offered
proper things to buy, closer to what Transavia in their own group does. But as it has been talked about thus far, it just seems like entshitification for the sake of it. Especially when direct competitors even aren't going that route.
As for staff at KLM not having clue about their own plans, this is not surprising. It seems memos take a lot of time to reach all the staff, but they might even just be targeting this to staff that is likely to end up on the LIS service. At least the AMS-LIS recently moved to Cityhopper, so perhaps only that staff has been brought up to speed. I do doubt my own thoughts here though.
