I can't be the only one booking away from UA because of this
I have pretty much shifted away from United for business class purchases. I am still finding value in upgrading to Polaris (when I can find PZ) and sometimes burning miles ending up on United flights (when I can find decent award redemptions).
But buying business class fares: That now goes to a handful of quality carriers. Not only is the service and catering so much better, but pricing is 99% of the time much lower than what United has available.
