We've just flown Memphis-Chicago-London . Memphis-Chicago was with AA, Chicago-London was with BA. When we checked in at Memphis our boarding passes didn't show TSA pre-check for Memphis-Chicago but did for Chicago-London (even though the latter wasn't required). We both had our KTN loaded in our AA booking but the check-in agent couldn't add our KTN to the booking and couldn't work out why so we had to go through standard security which was fortunately quiet. Does anyone know what may had caused this? Was it our fault, AA's fault or just bad luck?
Has happened to me before. Next time, just go back to an AA desk and have the agent reissue the BP with the TSA Pre on it. The last time it happened to me was on QR IAD to DOHA last year. I only noticed the absence when I got to security and the TSA person told me I was in the wrong queue. I returned to the check in counter and had an agent reissue the BP.
