Inevitably it was charged by the hotel so we are fighting to get that refunded. At the final hotel half the staff hadn't heard of it and other half, although they had heard of it, didn't know what it entitled customers to. So just a head-up - check if you are being charged a "destination fee" and make sure you get full value out it!
If the BAH description indicates these were included (or were not specifically mentioned that they were excluded and payable locally) then BAH must reimburse those additional, unexpected fees.
