For hardsided stuff (mostly work samples), I roll with a few variants of Pelican cases. Those things take a lot of abuse. I much prefer those over the metal types that are all scratched up and dented after only a few flights.

Generally good list. . . .
Pelican is extremely well regarded for hard-sided / bombshell though maybe its slightly different use case from Rimowa . . . .
Best 'bang for your buck' is generally TravelPro. A tier below the rest in quality, but also multiple tiers below in cost.

I'm assuming you are only considering luggage with spinner wheels? Because I own Pelicans, Briggs and a Rimowa and my pelicans will beat all of them, hands down.

Yes.
Pelicans don't stay beautiful or age well. unfortunately. My personal opinion .
The foregoing are the only posts in this thread (# 27, 34, 36 & 37) about Pelican hard-sided luggage.
