I had Precheck with Touchless ID at the Delta terminal which was very fast, but if you were in another line there could also then have been a wait to get through at Terminal C.
Frankly given that the LGA Sky Club is very nice, if you're flying Delta and have access to both lounges I'd probably just stick with the Sky Club (especially since Delta fliers can now try the Sapphire lounge more conveniently when flying out of JFK). But I will agree with (most of) the other reviews that the Sapphire lounge is excellent so it could be worth the detour for some ... just leave time to get to C afterwards.
It’s faster and easier to walk from B to C since the shuttle bus goes in the opposite direction. Did it today and it was about 10 minutes. I’d call it a distance of 5-6 blocks. All along a sidewalk. It was below freezing out when I did it and it still wasn’t too bad.
I was 3 hours early today so just had the uber drop me off at Terminal B. As others have mentioned, it’s bit of a walk inside the terminal just to get to the lounge. Security with pre check was quick. Under 5 minutes.
I have digital ID with delta so again, security at C was under 5 minutes.
if you want to do the walk, go all the way down in Terminal B. The exit is a floor below baggage claim. Go out the last door on the end toward Terminal C. Down the sidewalk along the building. Then you’ll cross to a sidewalk that’s next to the taxi line. And eventually cross to a sidewalk that runs along the side of Terminal C. You’ll think you’re there but then it keeps going along the building where the buses pickup. Eventually you’ll get into the terminal at Door 14 or 13 where the Lyft pickup zone is.
For me, I had extra time to kill today and having had 6 delta flights in the last few weeks, I was a little tired of the skyclub food so wanted something different.
I’d agree with comment above that new skyclub is very nice so not sure it’s worth it to go to this club in another terminal. I would not exit security on a connection. But if I had extra time on a drop off directly at B, I may do it again if the weather is okay. Mainly if I feel like a burger instead of chicken!
