no, totally legal to request reimbursement or a discount code from Alaska because of the situation, definitely start with that before calling the credit card, but if worse comes to worse, explain everything to the credit card and how your benefits specifically state that you should not be paying for bags and they refuse to honor it, and the truth is the truth, it’s exactly that
