Generally speaking, the travel waiver's only going to apply to the affected flight - so, for example, if your YUL-CUN got delayed by a day, no, they're probably not also going to give you a free change to your CUN-YUL a week later.
I had this happen. I asked about extending the return. I was informed that if it was one itinerary (same tx) they would do it. Mine was two one-ways (transborder) so a no-go. Not sure if it was just a kind agent or an actual rule. Assumed the latter, though, based on the conversation.
