The app doesn't pull your lifetime statistics and then calculate your status level, it queries the backend database, the backend tells it what status you have, and it displays whatever it says, regardless of how many years of whatever you have.

There is a process that updates lifetime status, but it doesn't run continuously (there is a cost to running these updates and there is very little time criticality in this piece of information). When that job runs, then your lifetime status will show the new level.

It makes a lot of sense.
