Recent experience to NYC with 2 copax (Explorer):

- outbound:
-> CDG-AMS then AMS-JFK. CDG-AMS had been cancelled due to weather (with a very short notice, about 15min before boarding time). All pax were instructed to go back landside where a dedicated zone would take care of us. No visible Skypriority lane (bad point). Asked if there was any, was told to go to the Skypriority checkin zone but was turned away as "there was a dedicated zone for pax of the cancelled CDG-AMS" (bad point). While queuing, I saw on the app me and my 2 copax had been rebooked on the direct CDG-EWR AF flight (good point). Middle seat for everyone, row 25 for my copax, row 41 for me. But at least, we had a seat and actually arrived earlier than expected at NYC (although EWR and not JFK).
-> 1 bag out of 2 (thanks for the +2 bags for Plat, btw!) did not arrive at EWR. I asked about my bag while at CDG and the agent at the counter told me it had been loaded to an earlier flight to JFK. Actually it had not left CDG and came to EWR by the same flight as me but the day after (bad point for misinformation).
-> During the flight, not a single sign from the cabin crew. For once, I would have like the purser to come with his tablet ask how I'd feel... (bad point)
-> Bag was delivered the day after in the evening at my hotel. AF reimbursed the costs for new clothes and transfer in public transportation from EWR to NYC (in less than a week). (very good point)

- inbound:
-> JFK lounge with no hot water in the shower "due to the cold weather". Thanks America.
-> Again, not a single "hi" by the purser.
