I booked an Air Canada Aeroplan redemption flight INN-BRU-EDI, with a 17 hour overnight layover in Brussels (1 adult, 1 kid). The receipt from Aeroplan shows the fare class for both flights as X, and says one checked bag is complimentary per pax. I am hoping to clarify:

- whether that sounds right (AC is not very good at accurately displaying baggage info on receipts)

- whether this flight would allow ski equipment as a free extra, in addition to the complimentary bag (the OS website says skis are free, except "This does not apply to the Economy Light fare and routes")

- whether checked bags would/could be checked all the way through to Edinburgh, or would need to be retrieved and rechecked in Brussels given the long layover.
