Stayed here for 2 nights, overall a nice resort with friendly staff and really nothing to complain about as the food was fairly good and the ambience and furnishings are very nice. It’s a smaller resort (since it used to be a house of a famous artist) so its quaint.
Had it not been the fact that I read too many reviews and experiences on this thread, I wouldn’t have been as disappointed so I’m not sure if it’s fair. Just some notes for anyone considering booking:
- Diamond status: free one day car rental -> no longer available
- Diamond status: free tote and sun hat -> no longer available
- Free clear bottom kayak rental -> no longer available
- Free paddle board rental -> no longer available
- Free or paid yoga classes -> no longer available
We had planned to do a bunch of the above activities and really maximize our stay here, but with nothing really to do anymore we just hung out by the pool and enjoyed drinks. Life’s still good haha,
What we did get:
- Diamond status upgrade to one room higher, ocean view (small room with no tub)
- Diamond status: sweets/snacks and bottle of wine
- Choice of 20 min foot massage or cocktail making class (we chose latter as it seems like a more fun experience)
- All rooms get all you can eat/order breakfast
There’s 3 nice small pools to lounge around in, a beautiful guest relaxation area (that feels like a nice living room of a rich person’s house), and 2 tiny beaches if you want a bit of that.
They take Amex here and with my Hilton Aspire, I could use it to get the $200 biannual credit
Enjoyed our stay overall, but will want to try a diff spot next time
