I didn't talk about any Oneworld policies. Previous comments had made it sound a little bit like it's a technical issue, e.g. "well the fare class doens't change, so there's no lounge access" when the fare class ultimately is completely irrelevant (it is the same for basically every other airline, yet they all include lounge access) and the only relevant thing is QR's policy decision NOT to include lounge access here.

In this case I have to fly QR for work so I do not have a choice. That said I am not a 12 year old child and am not discounting the whole airline over what is imo still a very stupid and uncommon upgrade policy. QR is free to set whatever policy they like and I am free to criticize this. You are free to criticize my criticism. That's how it works in the free world.

As for the numbers - LMAO, you actually believe that? Then I have a bridge to sell you. You actually believe that a country with a population of 2.7 million, no sizable diasporas whatsoever and essentially very little foreign tourism somehow had 12 million point-to-point passengers? They must be the most mobile population in the world and must be hiding all those millions of tourists somewhere from the public.
