Have not done this yet, but in anticipation of up coming HA flight(s) booked through AS, talked to MP and HA Miles. Was told when booking a HA flight via the AS website, after the booking, call HA reservations and ask them to put your HA # on the HA flight or segment. Your status with HA will then be recognized and will be entitled to the benefits of Gold or Platinum status on your HA flight. Per MP adding the HA # will not effect EQM earnings for the total trip to your MP account. This is what I was told anyway, will see how it plays out when I actually try. MP said they have some stop gap fixes currently and things will get smoother and more integrated as IT merges the two programs into one.
