in NYC, I noticed Lyft is consistently slower. Slower to assign you a driver and then time to pickup being consistently misleading ("driver will be there in 5 min" going on 15min...and no, there's no traffic). Uber is quick to assign a driver and estimate to pickup has both been more accurate and overall quicker. Sometime Lyft is cheaper but then I have to decide if i'm wiling to roll the dice that i will still be waiting for the car 15 min later.
