Here we go with the next trip report. This time we have around 65 chapters, as far as I can remember, and the time period is last summer up until the end of September 2024. I will try to post the list of chapters as quickly as possible. There's quite a rollercoaster of events here, starting in Trieste, Italy, and ending up in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. On the way to and from Ho Chi Minh City, I touch down in Singapore where I spend time in the amazing Gardens by the Bay. I also nearly ended up calling the Singapore fire brigade when I ate too many chilli peppers in the People's Park food emporium.

Back in Germany, I did some wonderful summer hikes before making a convoluted trip to New York and Oklahoma City, both of which I loved. The warship SS Intrepid, now a museum ship, is permanently berthed on the Hudson River side of Manhattan and this made for a fascinating visit. I also saw the play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" on Broadway. Then I spent some time in the woods of Connecticut, where I had hoped to see one of the many bears!

I then crossed the North Pole to Seoul, South Korea, a last chance (for me) to fly Asiana Airlines before it is merged into Korean Air. I spent more time in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in Vietnam then flew back to Europe with Turkish Airlines via Istanbul. Following a week or so working at the Detmold opera house on "Die Dreigroschenoper" (The Threepenny Opera) I made a flight in a private plane, a Piper 28, from Mönchengladbach airfield to the tiny airfield of Stadtlohn-Vreden near the Dutch border north of the Ruhr region of Germany. I finish up with quite an interesting visit to Luneburg Heath and completed some hikes, both near Luneburg and also in the Niederrhein region. A really interesting summer period for me. I hope I can transmit some of these experiences to you!
