Is it worth to pay 350 USD to become Elite Plus and probably renew it for at least 3-4 years? Or will it be a waste of money?
Is there a cheaper way to earn 5000 miles in 10 days?

I read a lot of people unhappy with the program... but I guess it is difficult read people happy with any program.

Thanks!
definitely. With elite plus, you can potentially upgrade 2 flights a year with your complimentary upgrade certificate. So you can upgrade 4 flights (and not just 1 sector but the entire flight (2 sectors) for long haul flights) in the 2 years that you are an elite plus member. Also once you reach elite plus for the first time, the qualification to remain an elite plus member is 40000 miles a year or 60000 miles in 2 years.

and yeah, their service isnt the best and it can be quite a challenge to even use the upgrade certificates if you don't plan far enough ahead. Really depends on what value you put towards the 2 upgrade certificate you receive as an elite plus member a year.
