I enjoyed my time at the Andaz Macau and would return. Here are my impressions and photos:
Pros:
- While I wasn’t upgraded to a suite, they proactively apologized and put me in a High Floor King
- The room is quite pretty
- Bed is comfortable - medium slightly plush mattress (much better and less firm than the JW and W, not as plush as STR), plush pillows, covers of okay thickness for Macau climate
- Shower is very nice - it’s misty but has great pressure - very refreshing - electric privacy glass for those who don’t want to put on a show
- Beautiful design on the toiletry boxes
- Washlet was effective despite not being Toto
- Armchair was pretty comfortable
- Large box of local sweets and later some tangerines as welcome gift
- Turndown associate was very friendly and left a microfiber cleaning cloth and some plug ties along with a handwritten note
- Told they put 4 PM checkout already
- Breakfast was quite good - great omelet and hashbrowns, fun cookie croissant, great lattes
Neutral:
- Don’t get excited about the Andaz Lounge - it was quite busy and didn’t seem that appealing - open to anyone - didn’t detract from my experience as I don’t expect lounges at Andaz properties
Cons:
I would come back.
