I am not for one moment making a comment about the OP here, but it seems as though there is a minority who require the external validation of the Concorde Room to be whole.

I've never had GGL, but on the times I've flown First, I've enjoyed the company at the bar. Every now and then though, you end up talking to someone who is GGL who insists on telling how long he has had it, and how he can come in any time he likes while others can only get in if they are flying First etc etc.

As my Headmistress at primary school said, "If you have status, you don't need a symbol."
