I hope you submit a complaint and make sure to get your RUC reopened. Unacceptable that the agents wouldn't keep you in F especially considering you were a displaced pax due to irops. I'd be looking for the $200 downgrade compensation, plus RUC, plus goodwill miles/voucher.
