Hi all,
I appreciate all of your inputs and suggestions. It will take some time to digest all these.
I would like to see smaller villages and towns that I have never been to, hopefully all within day-trip distance.
As many had suggested, Luzern and Bern can be good choice as base due to centrally located. If I stay in either, I struggle to find places to do day trip that I had not done before.
I do incline to see couple of places around Bodensee, Rhine Falls & Schaffhausen. Zurich seems to offer better access. Maybe Appenzell and Liechtenstein.
