Only times I do know are for ex-EU when it could be 2000 Euros / £1700 Vs. £3000.

I think the heart of it is: How / why would it matter in terms of driving a purchasing decision that there might be different requirements to acheive status based on what country one is living in?
People might not even be aware of it, similar to how you aren't aware of fare differences depending on point of sale.
