Agree with atldiamond that approach is a much better use of your money with a better product to boot. And for those who are not in a hub, so connecting anyway, and who blow right past Diamond's $28k requirement but are still chasing the ghost that is 360--it's really worth taking a look at United or American and seeing if their schedules work better for your travel patterns. Global Services and Concierge Key are at least realistically attainable with some level of predictability and are going to be better than Diamond. There are just too many of them. If you're spending $85k on airfare you darn well better get preferential treatment to someone who spent a third of that and squeaked by.
To me nonstop availability still trumps everything else.
